“Graham from Mango Tree Group worked with East London NHS Foundation Trust advising on preparation for a Comprehensive CQC Inspection, from June 2015 to June 2016.

He has made a huge contribution to the Trust’s work to assure the quality of its services and prepare for CQC inspection.

Some of the core tasks he undertook were:

  • A baseline assessment across all clinical services and reported on areas for improvement/key risks and on good practice
  • Working with services and service leads to support them to address the key issues.
  • Leading ‘mock inspections’ of clinical services, reflecting the methods of the CQC, reporting on the key issues and supporting services to implement and monitor action plans.
  • Undertaken individual mentoring and group training for staff around regulation, the CQC Fundamental Standards, and their methods of inspection, helping to prepare staff for the experience of inspection.

He has invaluable knowledge and experience in quality assurance, and in particular CQC inspection.

He is reliable, calm, measured and hard-working. I would have no hesitation in employing him in a similar role again in the future. He is astute, critical and honest, but also personable and able to build working relationships quickly with staff at all levels, but has remained objective and critical.

He communicates effectively, and has produced helpful written reports. He has worked under pressure at times, and met deadlines. Graham has contributed well to formal meetings and committees.

He has made a huge contribution to the Trust’s work to assure the quality of its services and prepare for CQC inspection.”
